Diamonds of Fortune by Mazooma

Mazooma has never really been the most traditional of slots developers, preferring instead to rely on its cartoonish creativity and out there themes to impress players. However, there is of course always room for something a little more normal in any slots selection, and that is precisely where Diamonds of Fortune comes in. The game itself looks highly similar to all of the other gem and jewel games out there, such as IGT’s Da Vinci Diamonds, and even the playing card icons have got in on the act, appearing as they do to look like they have been crafted from precious stones. The game looks the part, so let’s see if it plays well too.

In the course of reviewing Mazooma slots here at Games Mania, we have never yet seen the developer stray from its favoured twenty-win line layout – until now. This game keeps tradition going by slimming down to just ten win lines, although the prizes still start to come thick and fast through a very special feature. Unlike most slots, the wins do not have to start on the first reel, and a combination of three or four of a kind starting on reel two is just as valid as one that starts on reel one.

Four Base Game Bonuses

That is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to extras on this game too, as players will soon find themselves encountering the mystery bonus, which can come into play following any losing spin. One of four different features can be awarded, starting with the rewind. Unlike other games to make use of this, such as Notre Dame and Rumble in the Jungle, symbols will simply nudge upwards on the board, continuing to do so until they form a winning combination. The fast forward feature is similar, except this time the symbols will be nudged downwards. Players may find themselves with the All Symbols Pay feature, which essentially turns every symbol into a scatter, causing them to pay out at the standard rate regardless of the win lines, and there is also the Domino feature, where one symbol will be selected to travel around the board, turning as many other symbols as possible into matching ones in order to lead to as impressive a win as possible.

Unlike many Mazooma slots, that really is all that there is to it when it comes to bonus features – hey, we told you that Diamonds of Fortune was about as traditional as it gets! To be fair, it is nice to see any features at all on a game such as this one and they can really come together to lead to some truly impressive returns. This is one Mazooma slot title that will not be for everyone, but it certainly has something to offer to all kinds of players. You can see how it performs for you by playing with no deposit or download at the top of this page, or by playing for real when you head on over to any of our recommended Mazooma partner casino brands.
