The Dark Joker Rizes by Yggdrasil
As you may well have noticed, we always love a good play on words and reviewing online slots is one of the best things that we could possibly do to indulge in that. We get a double whammy here on The Dark Joker Rizes, as it not only links the game to the Dark Knight movies, but also harks back to the game that came before this one – that being the eternally popular Jokerizer. That game sets the standard for modern online fruit machines in many ways and this one picks up right where that one left off – although things have definitely taken a more sinister twist here.
Ten Lines of Fruity Action
Part of the popularity of the first game came from its accessibility, which basically ensured that nobody would have trouble with playing the game thanks to the use of just ten win lines. If it isn’t broken, there’s no need to fix it and Yggdrasil has opted to stick with the same configuration here. The symbols are pretty similar too and continue to fall into the fruits and 7s category, although they look a bit eviller here if it is possible for a fruit to be evil!
The fruits are not the only ones that have got darker, as the joker himself has also gone a little crazy. Fortunately, that makes for good news for players as his prize amounts have increased. It is now possible to land a joker on all five reels and, as before, landing three of them will award a mystery win of between 1,000 and 6,000 coins. Land four and you’ll close out the range a little, with the prize coming in somewhere between 3,000 and 6,000 coins and if you land five in a line there are no questions asked, as you’ll immediately be credited with the full 6,000 coins.
The Dark Jokerizer Mode
The Dark Joker Rizes would not be complete without the return of the Jokerizer mode, and this part of the game is incredibly similar to the bonus round found on the first game. As before, any win will lead to the round becoming available, and players can either take the prize as normal or use it as their bankroll within the feature. The spins on these richer reels will cost twenty coins each, but it can certainly be worthwhile as just two joker symbols are required to pick up a mystery win. That win can start out at just twenty coins but is once again capped at 6,000. It is also possible to randomly be awarded free spins after a joker win, and any current joker symbols on the board will freeze in place.
One addition to the round that was absent from the first game becomes available whenever the player’s Jokerizer balance reaches 200 coins. You can take one spin for the full 200 coins and will be guaranteed to land at least one joker. It can be too much of a risk for some players, but when a possibility is there and it is completely optional, we definitely cannot complain!
The Dark Joker Rizes maintains the same level of quality of the first game and, in our opinion, does a great job of taking things to the next level. It is highly impressive and we would definitely suggest checking it out whether you’ve played the first game or not. Play it with no deposit at the top of the page or head on over to one of the great Yggdrasil casinos in the sidebar to enjoy the most authentic experience possible!
