Bar Bar Black Sheep by Microgaming

Retro action seems to be all the rage with Microgaming so far in 2016. We’re not sure whether they’ve just stopped trying with the likes of IGT and NetEnt taking their crown as the most creative developers around, or whether they are merely padding out the selection while we await some top notch new action. Bar Bar Black Sheep fits in with the same kind of style as the Rhyming Reels series, with a children’s nursery rhyme serving as the inspiration for the pun in the name.

If that pun has led to one positive, it is the return of the good old bar symbol to the reels, which is something that we’ll never complain about. It is joined by fruits and farmhouses as the main symbols and the game’s logo serves as the wild card at all times. There is a minor feature within the base game too, and that also ties in with the name of the game. Essentially, players will be looking to land two bars in a line, followed by a black sheep. Do so successfully and you’ll be treated to an instant coin win which is calculated at random but could be worth up to 999 times your total line bet.

Bar Bar Black Sheep Free Spins

The main bonus feature action on Bar Bar Black Sheep is free spins once again, and players will be looking to land the sack of corn symbols three times or more on a single spin in order to trigger it. Hitting three will launch the round with ten free spins, while four scatters will award fifteen free games. Five scatters in view will lead to twenty free spins in total and, no matter how many scatters trigger the round, it is always possible to add more spins to the remaining total by landing even more within the bonus itself. The prizes won on free spins are also worth three times as much as they would be during standard play.

In all fairness, Bar Bar Black Sheep is probably Microgaming’s most solid release of 2016 so far, although that might not be saying all that much! The formula is the same as what many Microgaming fans will already be used to and if that continues to appeal then there is certainly absolutely no reason to miss out on what this game has to offer. Check it out for yourself, all with no deposit or download required, by playing Bar Bar Black Sheep at the top of this review.
