Medieval Money IGT Game

The new online slots from IGT are coming thick and fast right now, and as we recently commented on our review of Dragon’s Temple, they are certainly making great use of their existing back catalogue to subsidise an aggressive release schedule. The latest game to receive the online treatment – and mobile for that matter – is Medieval Money and while your first impressions may well involve the title showing its age somewhat, the gameplay can definitely be worth sticking around for.

The game is actually on the smaller side as far as IGT games are concerned, with the number of win lines being fixed at just twenty. At the same time, this makes for an accessible game that even players that have never enjoyed IGT action previously will be able to get started on immediately. Somewhat confusingly, the standard playing card icons are joined by actual kings and queens on the reels as themed symbols, and while the graphics are not going to take your breath away, the cartoon style will definitely please many players along the way. Of all of these symbols, the jester’s hat may well stand out the most and for good reason, as it is the scatter symbol that can fill in for anything else on the board aside from the target scatter.

A Host of Medieval Bonuses

That target scatter symbol is the key to doing anything outside of spinning the reels as standard and you’ll be looking to land one each on reels two, three and four. Upon completing this, you’ll be presented with nine different targets and taking a shot at them will decide which of four different bonus features you’ll be set to play.

First up is the Money Bags bonus feature, and this is an additional pick a win round. The difference here is that you’re on the lookout for instant cash rather than a further bonus, with one of the bags containing an instant prize worth fifty times your total bet. You may also discover the Joust game, which is this slot’s free spins round. Seven free spins are awarded and they feature jousting wilds, which come into play if the red and blue knights land on reels one and five respectively. A short joust between the foes takes place and the winning knight will see all symbols that match his colour turning into additional wild cards on the current spin.

Another pick a win round awaits in the Spell Picker, where players can take their pick of five different spell bottles. The prizes can reach up to a hundred times your total stake and the big deal here is that you can turn down your prize and pick again – just remember that prizes can go down as well as up and there’s no guarantee that the hundred times prize will be in any of the bottles!

Finally, we come to our favourite feature on Medieval Money, which involves a great trail based game. On the Dragon Path, players will be attempting to reach the end of the road by spinning a wheel. Each position contains a multiplier and there’s a big prize at the end, but if you spin in a skull symbol the round will be over and it’s back to the base game.

What appears to be a fairly basic and even standard game at first glance on Medieval Money soon turns into one of the most feature packed games around. We love the features and the random nature of them ensures that this game takes a long time to get boring. So, for some great entertainment and plenty of winning potential, this title is definitely worth a closer look. Give it a spin right away here on this page as it is the full title and is completely free to play!
