Ninja Magic Online Slot by Microgaming
Check out any of our reviews of Microgaming’s 2016 releases and you’ll soon see that, in all fairness, we haven’t exactly been overly impressed. It almost felt like the company had gone through the books, somehow seen that 2008 was their most successful year financially and decided to repeat whatever it was that worked back then. That wouldn’t be such a bad thing if the likes of NetEnt and IGT weren’t releasing some of the most innovative, creative games of all time simultaneously, but we are pleased to say that Ninja Magic could well reflect a stunning upturn in form for the world’s largest online developer.
It is clear to see that Microgaming has opted to start as it means to go on with this game, as it is one of the rare online opportunities to enjoy forty win lines over just three rows of symbols. Sure, forty lines are nothing new, with IGT and Bally being some of the leaders in the field, but they generally make use of four rows of symbols in order to accommodate the pattern. With three rows, the same lines are squashed down, ensuring that the wins come thick and fast. Players will be looking to line up some admittedly fairly bland playing card icons, although the themed symbols, including both male and female ninjas, are highly detailed and do a great job of making up for them.
A Magic Wild Multiplier
The extras on a game don’t need to be too far out of the ordinary in order to impress us and Microgaming has stuck with something tried and tested but still highly useful here. Specifically, the Ninja Magic logo is a wild card on all reels and when it lands as part of a winning combination, the relevant prize amount will be doubled in value.
Ninja Magic Free Spins
The bonus round is every bit as good as players would hope, although you’ll initially be shocked by how few free spins are offered. The temple scatter is the important symbol and you’ll need three or more in order to trigger the bonus. More scatters make for a better start, with three awarding one spin and no multiplier, four bumping both up to two and five seeing things heading all the way up to three. Five scatters for three spins and a three times multiplier sounds pretty disappointing, but that will soon sort itself out when players land in the Ninja Magic pick round. The male and female protagonists will be confronted with a cave full of bugs, and players can click them to destroy each one, unveiling additional spins and multipliers in the process. These can rise all the way up to forty spins and an eight times multiplier, and it’s something we’ve hit a couple of times, so this is by no means one of those one in a million chances. Naturally, the better you pick, the better the round and the bigger the returns.
Microgaming is definitely getting there with good releases, even though it has taken half a year to do it. Ninja Magic follows Pretty Kitty in being games that are well worth playing and you can check out both of them with no deposit or download required right here at Games Mania. The real money versions are of course live and ready to play too over at your Microgaming casino of choice.
