Tokidoki Lucky Town IGT Slot
We can open proceedings here in our Tokidoki Lucky Town review by saying that if you had absolutely no idea who or what a Tokidoki was then you’re definitely not alone. Fortunately, it won’t take all that long to find out as they are plastered absolutely all over the game board on this slot, with every single symbol – even the playing card icons – being represented by a different character.
Forty Lines and Some Wild Action
While the board itself on Tokidoki is about as conventional as it gets, IGT has crammed in forty win lines for some truly regular wins. Players will also notice that the game costs sixty coins to play, and this is because access to the feature costs half as much again on top of your standard bet. It may sound a bit cheap as we often expect our features for free, but there really is no point playing the game without the features active as then it becomes just a bog standard forty-line game with nothing special about it.
For no apparent reason, there are two different wild cards on the game, both depicted by the heart and crossbones Tokidoki logo. The first, with a white symbol on a black background, can fill in for any other symbol as normal apart from the bonus icons. The second is the same symbol in black and on a yellow background, and this one will also fill in while also applying a two times multiplier.
The Big Reel Reveal
There are not any scatters to look out for on this game, as the feature that you’re paying extra for all comes into play on the main game board. You’ll be looking out for the vinyl record symbol on reel five in order to trigger it, and you’ll then commence a free spins round of sorts. To start things off, all of the reels will shift one place to the left. The new fifth reel will then contain a new character symbol, which comes complete with its own bonus feature. On the first move, for example, you’ll encounter Caramella for the first time. She is a wild card and can randomly turn up to three other symbols on the board into additional wilds. The steps to the left will then continue, with characters applying multipliers, offering pick a win bonuses or adding further wild cards onto the board.
We’re not sure that we would bother to go out of our way to play Tokidoki Lucky Town. If you’re a fan of the brand and the characters already then the game does it justice and you’ll almost certainly love it, but if you have no prior affinity to the quirky cartoon people then it may be tricky to like. While innovative, the feature can get quite old fast and there isn’t much longevity to it. However, we always invite players to try our games for themselves and you can do exactly that right here on this page for free. If you then want to give it a go for real cash, you can do so over at any of our recommended IGT brands.
